AUDITIONS, REHEARSALS, AND PERFORMANCES

 
SFCC membership is open to all proficient choral singers.  We require a commitment to consistent practice and excellent performance.  In return, we guarantee challenging, rewarding musical and educational opportunities with supportive, welcoming, and fun-loving friends and colleagues.  AUDITIONS are held in September, January, and April. 

Interested singers should send an email from our Contact Us page with:
  1. your voice part
  2. a short description of your singing experience
  3. your availability to attend one of our first three regular rehearsals and audition times

REHEARSALS are held Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Lakeside Presbyterian Church (corner of 19th Ave. and Eucalyptus, by Stonestown Galleria).  Free street parking is plentiful!  MUNI’s M-line and #28 bus go to the corner of 19th Ave. and Eucalyptus, and the #17 bus goes to Eucalyptus and 20th Ave. 

PERFORMANCES are held in November, April, and June at Trinity Episcopal Church in San Francisco and First Congregational Church of Berkeley.  Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, chorus members may be heard and seen caroling throughout San Francisco, singing in SFCC’s major fundraising activity.  We also host Summer Sings, a sing-along series of choral classics led by Bay Area conductors, and the ever-popular Sing-Along Messiah.

DUES AND FEES: 
Dues are currently $270 per member per concert year.  Other costs include music for each concert (varies), practice CDs for each concert (usually $1), and post-concert reception contributions ($5 per concert). Women also purchase the standard concert gown ($65).
